Infrared Thermography

Infrared Thermography

Why Use Infrared?

A picture says a thousand words; infrared thermography is the only diagnostic technology that lets you instantly visualize and verify thermal performance. Infrared cameras show you thermal problems, quantify them with precise non-contact temperature measurement, and document them automatically in seconds with professional easy-to-create IR reports.

Infrared for Predictive Maintenance

Nearly everything that uses or transmits power gets hot before it fails. Cost effective power management is critical to maintaining the reliability of your electrical and mechanical systems. And today, no one would argue that infrared thermography is one of the most effective proven predictive maintenance (PM) technology available to quickly, accurately and safely locate problems prior to failure. Finding and fixing a poor electrical connection before a component fails can save you the much greater costs associated with manufacturing downtime, production losses, power outages, fires and catastrophic failures.

FLIR ONE Pro

The FLIR ONE Pro helps you find invisible problems faster than ever, whether you’re inspecting electrical panels, troubleshooting mechanical systems, looking for HVAC problems, or finding water damage. This FLIR ONE Pro-Series camera offers 4x the native resolution of the FLIR ONE Pro LT, for sharper image clarity that’s further enhanced by the revolutionary FLIR VividIR™ image processing. Measure temperatures more than 3x higher than any FLIR ONE model—up to 400°C (752°F)—with a sensitivity that detects temperature differences down to 70 mK. Packed with powerful measurement tools, the FLIR ONE Pro will work as hard as you do.

FLIR TG165-X

The FLIR TG165-X helps you visualize the hot and cold spots that can indicate electrical faults, mechanical break-downs, or air and water leaks. This all-in-one, non-contact measurement and imaging tool displays temperature anomalies on screen, allowing you to inspect efficiently and pinpoint the source of problems faster than with a single-spot IR thermometer. See components clearly and even read labels thanks to FLIR patented MSX image enhancement, which adds visual details to full thermal images. The bullseye laser ensures you’re always targeting the right component for measurement while easy-to-use buttons and settings help you complete the job quickly and stress-free. With internal storage for up to 50,000 images and a rechargeable Li-ion battery, the FLIR TG165-X is ready to go right out of the box.

FLIR C5

With the FLIR C5 in your pocket you’ll be ready anytime to find hot fuses, air leaks, plumbing issues, and more. Identifying hidden problems is easy with the 160 x 120 (19,200 pixels) true thermal imager, MSX® (Multi-Spectral Dynamic Imaging), 5-megapixel visual camera, and LED flashlight. The C5 directly uploads and stores your images to the FLIR Ignite™ cloud, where you can organize and back up files. Then instantly share images with customers or create professional reports that document the problem and required repairs.

FLIR E8-XT

FLIR E8-XT is the perfect tool for diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and building problems, thanks to its 76,800 (320 x 240) pixel infrared detector and expanded, -20°C to 550°C (-4°F to 1022°F) temperature range. FLIR MSX® image enhancement provides extraordinary thermal imaging detail, while the built-in Wi-Fi allows users to quickly connect with the FLIR Tools® Mobile app for sharing images and sending reports easily from any

FLIR E86-EST

The FLIR E86-EST handheld thermal camera is a non-contact screening tools that serve as a first line of defense against potential health risks. This FLIR EST™ thermal screening solution detects and visualizes heat to quickly identify individuals with an elevated skin temperature. With 464 × 348 thermal pixel resolution and bright touchscreen display, the E86-EST offers accurate, easy-to-interpret temperature measurement. The on-camera FLIR Screen-EST Mode offers visual positioning guides, automatic sampling to maintain an updated temperature average, and graphic pass/fail indicators for results, reducing the burden on screening station operators. Compatibility with FLIR Screen-EST Desktop software, an integrated tripod mount, and external power makes this camera a good fit for permanent installations.

FLIR E96

The FLIR E96 is our first pistol-grip camera with 640 × 480 thermal resolution so inspectors can survey high-voltage, hazardous targets safely and quickly diagnose electrical and mechanical failures. Interchangeable AutoCal™ lenses offer complete coverage of near and distant targets, with the laser distance meter ensuring the crisp focus needed for accurate temperature measurement. Onboard FLIR Inspection Route feature runs pre-planned survey routes to help inspectors stay organized when surveying large or multiple locations. For a limited time, the purchase of an E96 camera includes a 3-month subscription to FLIR Thermal Studio Pro and FLIR Route Creator.

FLIR Tools

FLIR Tools® is a powerful, free software solution that allows you to quickly import, edit, and analyze images, and turn them into professional PDF inspection reports. It’s the most effective way to show clients or decision-makers the problems you found with your FLIR thermal imager, and get the “go-ahead” for repairs fast. The app allows you to: thermally tune level and span, change color palette, adjust parameters such as emissivity, reflective temperature, and much more.

FLIR Route Creator

The FLIR Route Creator Plugin for FLIR Thermal Studio Pro allows you to create and export inspection routes. Download these routes to FLIR T-Series cameras running the optional FLIR Inspection Route, and you have a powerful tool for streamlining inspections of multiple assets across a large site or across several locations. The route guides the inspector along planned inspection points, where images and data are collected in a structured manner. Once the inspection is complete, results can be imported back to FLIR Thermal Studio Pro for analysis and reporting. The FLIR Route Creator Plugin is available as a 12-month subscription.

FLIR Thermal Studio Suite

The FLIR Thermal Studio Suite helps users manage thousands of thermal images and videos, whether they’re from a handheld thermal imaging camera, unmanned aircraft system (UAS), or optical gas imaging (OGI) camera. This subscription software offers the advanced processing features needed for predictive maintenance on critical components, system troubleshooting, and increased productivity. Add the optional FLIR Route Creator plug-in to Thermal Studio Pro to streamline inspection workflows and simplify reporting. Users create their route in the software and download it directly to any FLIR camera with Inspection Route enabled. The camera then directs the user through the inspection in a logical sequence, organizing data and thermal images by asset. Available in more than 20 languages, FLIR Thermal Studio software is key to producing professional thermal images and reports.

FLIR Tools App

FLIR Tools® Mobile lets you stream live video to your mobile device from most FLIR thermal cameras with Wi-Fi capability (excl. C3 and Ex-Series), allowing you to monitor from a safe distance and show others what the camera is seeing as it happens. Use the app to incorporate images into reports to send to customers and co-workers. The app allows you to import stored images wirelessly, thermally tune level and span, change color palette, adjust parameters, and much more.

FLIR IR Windows

FLIR’s IR Windows add a barrier between you and energized equipment, protecting you from arc flash accidents. IR windows are easy to install, easy to use, and will help you work with greater confidence. You’ll perform inspections more efficiently and reduce the threat of arc flash injury, all while staying in compliance with NFPA 70E requirements. Choose the anodized aluminum frame, or opt for durable stainless steel to prevent mixed metal issues.
